Auditioning Process

We held auditions in order to find the actors to star in our film, which we as a group felt our target audience of working class men aged 16-25 would positively respond to. With our genre being comedy, we wanted to find two actors that we felt would be able to follow the script and make our audience laugh. Quite a few actor met our criteria, but as a group we had to decide what two actors we would have to narrow it down to. We told the actors that were successful, and debriefed those who auditions but did not make the final cut letting them down gently and keeping their spirits high.

Focus Group Feedback

After presenting our preliminary task to an audience of 16-18 year olds, who all fit into our target audience, we asked them to give us feedback in order for us to get the right idea of what we need to do to meet expectations of our target audience for the final task of a two minute movie introduction.

The focus group suggested that the preliminary tasks had some decent camera shots, but lacked camera movement, however it was edited well. The music at the beginning was praised, but the content was criticised as the dialogue was said to have been very brief and quite dull, however the sound was very clear.

As a company, we at Super Dench have agreed that we need to keep up what we were praised on, but need to work on some areas that were mentioned. We promise to make sure our future productions have more interesting content and camera movement.
